This website has been created to help local residents understand the planning process affecting Green Barn Paddock, including applications, appeals, deadlines, and the key issues that matter.
Planning is often technical and difficult to follow. Our aim is to explain it in plain English and provide a central place where residents can stay informed.
For residents who are affected and want to take part in a coordinated response, we also run a residents group and email newsletter. The purpose is to help ensure that future submissions are well-informed, consistent, and technically sound.
In the event of an appeal or future planning application a single, co-ordinated response will be key and carry far more weight than individual responses. We need to ensure we are able to deliver a focussed, technical response which will be seen and heard by Cherwell or the Planning Inspectorate. Creating a residents group may also allow us to have a collective voice and directly challenge both Cherwell DC and the landowner / Fortis (individuals are rarely given a ‘place’ at appeal).
